Oakenshaw has an enviable position which could be described as the best of both worlds! In addition to our links with the M62 motorway which gives us such great accessibility, for a small village we have a wide range of green spaces which are becoming increasingly important and high-profile as we work hard at our conservation agenda.
Wildlife records for Oakenshaw and Low Moor
Low Moor and Oakenshaw Conservation Group are lucky enough to have a Wildlife Officer, who has records of the area dating back to the 1970s! Martyn also some wonderful wildlife photographs taken around the area, including a beautiful female Brimstone butterfly sighted feeding on Buddleia
