For up to date information on policing matters in the area, including crime statistics, local priorities and recent news items, visit the dedicated Oakenshaw NPT
If you see anything suspicious or unusual, please contact the local policing team in the first instance. For emergencies, always dial 999, and for non-emergencies the number is 101.
It is important that we, as a community, keep the police informed of any unusual or suspicious activity. Remember that Oakenshaw has a Police Contact Point in Victoria Park which is open Monday and Wednesday from 9.30-11.30 where you can get advice or report crimes. For a period through the summer the Point will be open on Friday evenings,6.30 to 7.30pm. You will also be able to report any issues such as fly-tipping to the Street Wardens through this service.
From time to time we are able to offer crime-prevention materials, just pop in and if we have anything "in stock" we can let you take these away.
Generally the Police will attend the Residents' Association's Meetings and you'll be able to discuss any issues which concern you in a public forum there.
