Latest news on Low Moor Station is in today's Telegraph and Argus (17 May 2103) Sadly,we have not received the funding required at this time but work continues and we hope to have a website dedicated to Friends of Low Moor Station very soon where you will be able to catch up on all the news for this much-needed station.We are still actively lobbying and have regular meetings with Metro and others.At the moment we are building a stronger business case and hope that will bring a reward.

"The Oakenshaw Residents' Association was set up at the end of 2006.We enjoy living in our village and consider it important that the community spirit which we enjoy here is maintained and rewarded by having regular meetings with the Residents and the service providers such as Police,Councillors,Bradford and Kirklees Council and so on.From time-to-time we try and improve the look of Oakenshaw and Woodlands and hope you've enjoyed the 500kg of daffodils which we bought and which were planted by some of our members.We have recently filled our planters around the village with new plants for the Summer.In addition we expect to have the hanging baskets fitted to the lamp-posts during the summer by Kirklees Council as usual.In summer 2013 we were hoping to hold an event in Victoria Park but sadly have had to cancel this;we look forward to planning an event for another date soon.
